Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts, the hotel division of the Living Resorts business unit of Grupo Piñero, a Spanish tourism company with almost 50 years of history, has received the Travelife Gold Sustainability Seal for all its establishments in Spain. Specifically, the company has achieved this distinction at Bahia Principe Sunlight Coral Playa in Mallorca and at its four hotels in Tenerife: Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife, Bahia Principe Sunlight Costa Adeje, Bahia Principe Sunlight San Felipe and Bahia Principe Sunlight Tenerife.
To obtain this seal, awarded by Travelife, Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts establishments in Spain have passed several audits in which each hotel's sustainability performance has been evaluated. Specifically, follow-up audits were conducted at the Bahia Principe Sunlight San Felipe, Bahia Principe Sunlight Costa Adeje and Bahia Principe Sunlight Tenerife hotels, and access audits were conducted at the Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife and Bahia Principe Sunlight Coral Playa hotels. All the hotels have been certified in the Travelife Gold category, which certifies compliance with a set of internationally recognized environmental, social and ethical criteria.
In this regard, Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts has introduced measures to minimize environmental impact, such as systems to reduce energy and water consumption and ensure proper waste management, as well as actions to protect biodiversity, among others. Also, actions to improve the quality of life of employees, measures to promote the economic, social and cultural development of local communities or respect for human rights and the protection of minors.

To this end, we engage in various activities, policies and initiatives that allow us to integrate environmental, social and good governance criteria in all the ideas, projects and actions we carry out.”
This certification is part of the company's Sustainability Strategy (2022-2030), which establishes three strategic lines: Governance, with the aim of consolidating an ethical and transparent management model that ensures the best corporate governance practices; People, to improve people's quality of life; and Planet, to adapt management to climate risks, promoting a sustainable business model. In this way, the company promotes responsible leadership aligned with the 2030 Agenda to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
