This Sunday, July 3, the first of the flights that Soltour will offer to its customers to Samaná, in the Dominican Republic, departed from Adolfo Suárez Madrid Barajas airport. From now until September 11, the tour operator will charter a weekly flight, departing every Sunday, to one of the most alluring destinations in the Caribbean.
Santo Domingo, June 27, 2022 - The arrival of this flight in Samaná was enlivened with a performance of local music by the Folkloric Ballet of the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic. Also, a cake with the flags of both countries was handed out to the first visitors who arrived on Soltour's inaugural flight, operated by the company Plus Ultra.
This, like the rest of the flights that will be arriving to Samaná from now on, was in a comfortable and very spacious Airbus 340 aircraft, in which all the seats were occupied: the 275 in Economy Class as well as the 22 in Business Class.
In this way, Soltour reaffirms its commitment to Samaná, a destination with which this prestigious tour operator collaborates very actively with the Dominican Government for its promotion in the Spanish and Portuguese markets. Thanks to these direct flights, Soltour will bring to Samaná many travelers who will surely return delighted with a different Caribbean: from the impressive Haitises National Park and its caves, which were inhabited by the Tainos, to beaches as exotic and attractive as those of Rincón, Las Terrenas or Las Galeras. Or the spectacular Salto del Limón, the bustling and multicultural town of Samaná and the irresistible charm of the islet of Cayo Levantado.
Tomeu Benassar, CEO of Soltour Travel Partners, explained, “This inaugural flight to Samaná and the rest of the flights that we will make throughout the summer season and then the rest of the year, through the Santo Domingo airport, reaffirms our commitment to a different kind of Caribbean. In line with our campaign 'The best version of the Caribbean, the best version of you', we are convinced that our clients will have the chance to find themselves, thanks to this trip, and enjoy one of the most authentic destinations in the Dominican Republic." Also, according to Benassar, "this represents a very important support for all travel agencies that, in line with our philosophy, are recommending this Caribbean destination to their clients. We are convinced that this commitment by Soltour will lead to a substantial increase in the number of travelers from our country to Samaná."
It is worth noting that Bahia Principe, hotel chain run by Grupo Piñero, which has the largest number of own beds in the country (7,000 rooms), has three emblematic hotels in Samaná, all 5-star and located in some of the most impressive and attractive places of a peninsula that is well worth visiting by taking advantage of this direct flight from Soltour.
