Grupo Piñero is investing more than US$3 million in AIRE by Bahia Principe Residences, a new leisure and business center in the Dominican Republic

• Comprised of three buildings and a common reception area, the facility will open in 2023 to serve the residents of Playa Nueva Romana in the Dominican Republic.

Palma, May 19, 2022.- Grupo Piñero, a Spanish multinational company with almost 50 years of history, will invest more than US$3 million in the construction of AIRE by Bahia Principe Residences, a leisure and business center located in the Playa Nueva Romana residential complex in the Dominican Republic. This was announced today at an event organized by the company in the Caribbean country to celebrate the start of construction, which is expected to be completed by mid-2023. 

With a surface of over 11,850 square feet, spread out over three buildings and a common reception area, AIRE by Bahia Principe Residences will offer residents a wide variety of services to enrich and enhance their experience. Specifically, the center will have several sports facilities, coworking spaces and event rooms, as well as a children's area and several commercial premises (minimarket, gym, etc.), among other services.  

In this way, Grupo Piñero, consolidates and strengthens its growth through its Bahia Principe Residences division, and in line with its 2022-2025 Strategic Plan, continues to innovate to improve the customer experience, creating new products and services that enhance its operational excellence. 

In addition, with the implementation of the project, the company is contributing to the economic and social development of the local community. In this respect, Grupo Piñero will generate around one hundred jobs during the construction phase of the new leisure and business center.

AIRE by Bahia Principe Residences: a firm commitment to environmental sustainability. 

The project also incorporates elements that contribute to improving the environmental sustainability of the center. In this sense, different elements will be introduced, such as the installation of photovoltaic panels that will provide 50% of the power required by the building. Similarly, a more sustainable air conditioning system will be installed, with a 70%-efficient recovery system, and energy-saving LED lighting for both the interior and exterior of the facilities, which will enable the company to reduce electricity consumption. Along the same lines, local biodiversity will be integrated into the landscaping of the new center by planting native species of flora to ensure integration with local ecosystems.
