Grupo Piñero received this recognition for the sustainable policies incorporated in its strategic plan, with the aim of promoting a responsible tourism model, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations.

The Forbes Credit Suisse Sustainability Awards have recognized, in this first edition, the trajectory and efforts of SMEs and large Spanish family-owned companies that have successfully transformed and become involved in sustainability policies in recent years. The award ceremony was held on March 31 at the Mandarin Oriental Ritz Hotel in Madrid and was attended by Andrés Rodríguez, president of Spainmedia and publisher and director of Forbes Spain, as well as Pablo Carrasco, general manager of Credit Suisse for Iberia.

Sustainability at the core of Grupo Piñero's strategy

This year Grupo Piñero presented its new Strategic Plan for 2022-2025, in which it has consolidated Sustainability as the central axis of its strategy. Based on this, the Group's sustainability strategy is aligned with that of the company and is structured around three lines of action: Governance, with the aim of consolidating an ethical and transparent management model that ensures the best corporate governance practices, promoting dialog with all our Stakeholders; People, to improve the quality of life of people, paying special attention to health, well-being and professional growth within the Group; and Planet, with the purpose of adapting our management to climate risks by creating a clean and circular business model that optimally manages resources.

In line with this, one of the most salient features is the 'We Are Ecocentric' movement, which expands the company's commitment, in addition to calling on all individuals to care for the planet. Through this movement, Grupo Piñero invites society at large to show its "ecocentric" side and undertake actions that contribute to the preservation of the environment.
