Palma de Mallorca 27-03-2019. 30 March is the date for "Earth Hour", a movement promoted by the WWF and which aims to raise public awareness about the issues of climate change and human responsibility for reducing emissions of Greenhouse Gases (GHGs).
Earth Hour began in 2007 as a symbolic gesture to focus attention on the problem of climate change. A gesture as simple as switching lights off for an hour, and which has subsequently grown and taken on the form of a global movement to save the planet.
Grupo Piñero accepts its responsibility as an influential group in the tourism sector, and once more this year is taking part in the movement through initiatives at all its business units.
Grupo Piñero has since 2015 been working to improve its interaction with the planet, one of its key goals being to minimise atmospheric GHG emissions.
Through the launch of various measures, the company's hotel division managed to reduce energy consumption by 11,700 MWh last year, preventing emissions of more than 3,200 tonnes of CO2. All thanks to the commitment of the group, but above all the commitment of each and every one of its members.
We encourage you to take part on Saturday 30th from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
Join us in our commitment to sustainable tourism!
