Through this agreement, Coming2, Grupo Piñero's inbound agent, will become the new representative of Air Canada Vacations in the Dominican Republic and Mexico.
It will involve the opening of new operational offices in both destinations and will increase the number of staff with the hiring of 50% more personnel to reinforce the quality of its services.
In addition, the land (Solbus) and maritime (Embat) transport brands in the Dominican Republic will also benefit from the renewal of 45% of the fleet and the acquisition of new vehicles.
Palma, 12 December 2022. Grupo Piñero, a Spanish tourism company with almost 50 years of history, strengthens its inbound destination services with the signing of a new alliance between its Coming2 brand and tour operator Air Canada Vacation. Thus, as of December 1, Coming2 is the new representative of Air Canada Vacations in the Dominican Republic and Mexico, anticipating an additional 280,000 passengers per year.
As a result of this alliance, Coming2 will consolidate its position as an inbound agent in both destinations with the opening of three new operational offices—two of them in Mexico, located in the Playa del Carmen and Cancun area, in addition to the one currently operating in Akumal; and the third one in the Dominican Republic, on the coast of Puerto Plata, which joins those located in Bavaro, La Romana and Samana that are already in operation in the Dominican Republic. In this sense, the inauguration of the new offices will mean the expansion of Coming2's workforce with the hiring of 50% more staff.
In the words of Ricardo Moreno, Chief Operating Officer (COO) Mobility, Incoming & Leisure of Grupo Piñero, "For years, Air Canada Vacation has been a reference partner for the company. This is why we are more than proud to strengthen our ties through our Coming2 brand. This alliance is a product of the values that unite us, since we share service excellence and concern for careful customer service.” Under this commitment, he announced that “in addition, Coming2 has reinforced its customer service by opening an online department. A new channel that will be open 24 hours a day, every day of the week, and will answer users' queries in German, English, Portuguese, French and Spanish.”
An alliance with high impact on destination services
In the Dominican Republic, the Solbus and Embat brands, dedicated to land and maritime tourist transportation, respectively, will also benefit positively from this agreement.
Solbus will reinforce its services in this destination by renewing 45% of its fleet and will add new vehicles of various capacities, allowing it to continue to achieve its goal of offering its customers the best experiences at their destination.
This transformation also includes the debut of the first electric vehicle, which is already in operation in Bavaro. In this way, Grupo Piñero continues to strengthen its already firm commitment to electric mobility as part of its commitment to sustainability, which is at the core of its business strategy. Thus, the company, through its tourism activities, continues to seek a positive impact on the environment and society, and together with other industry players to join efforts in achieving the goals of the United Nations 2030 agenda.
