Madrid, March 7, 2023. Soltour Travel Partners, the leading tourism hub in Spain focused on independent companies in the field of tour operating and distribution, and TUI Spain, the corporate outbound division in Spain of TUI GROUP, announced the start of a collaboration in the long-haul and honeymoon segments. The main goal is focused on the search for synergies and the creation of products and services of greater value for travel agencies. The alliance was announced by Tomeu Bennasar, CEO of Soltour Travel Partners, and Eduard Bogatyr, managing director of TUI Iberia, at a press conference held today, Tuesday, January 7, consolidating this project to bring together independent operators.

This ground-breaking move in the tourism market is a strategic response to the current situation of concentration in the industry. With this alliance, Soltour Travel Partners' tourism hub leads a very important shift in the industry, in which independent and competing companies unite under the same objective, maintaining their independence and freedom in a format of collaboration and search for synergies.

The announcement marks the beginning of a collaborative relationship between Soltour Travel Partners and TUI Spain with the aim of offering independent travel agencies the best and most innovative travel solutions to maintain their leadership and competitive edge in the industry.

The last few years have been challenging for all players in the tourism industry. At Soltour Travel Partners we are aware of the importance of leading changes and anticipating events. Therefore, the union with TUI Spain, the Spanish division of the world's largest international tour operator, is the reflection of a model with future projection and a high strategic value,” says Tomeu Bennasar.

Although both companies coincide in certain business areas, their independence and autonomy make them a perfect fit when it comes to establishing a gradual collaborative relationship in some segments, such as long-haul and honeymoon travel.

For us it is a natural fit. We need to set aside our differences and focus on what we can achieve together. With this alliance, not only do we have the guarantee of TUI, one of the most important global companies in the industry, but we add a much more personalized offer to our extensive portfolio, with TUI's exclusive and characteristic level of attention and personalization of services,” concludes Tomeu Bennasar.

We at TUI Spain are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead of us going hand in hand with Soltour Travel Partners. Establishing synergies with the expertise of a tourism hub like them and access to their extensive network of independent agencies allows us to maintain our leadership in an increasingly concentrated and competitive industry,” says Eduard Bogatyr.

The union of both companies will be based on long-haul and honeymoon travel. In this regard, TUI Spain has a very diversified product portfolio with options for all budgets. Between them, agencies can find destinations as different as Lapland, river cruises in Europe, Costa Rica, Maldives, Kenya, Thailand and many more places around the world. In this way, Soltour Travel Partners' alliance will be able to offer travel agencies more exclusive and different alternatives.
