The most natural rhythm of the island is unveiled by the Eco-Bahia Foundation, which conducts conservation, investigation and environmental education programs, as well as protecting the delicate ecosystem -fauna, flora, marine resources and protected areas- of the Cayo. The Foundation, through its curators, is in charge of guiding guests on an immersive journey with various experiences inside and outside the hotel, integrating Eco-Routes through the island, exploring and learning about its environmental and cultural aspects, its geological origins and biological evolution, as well as guided tours to nature reserves in the region.

Regarding conservation and biodiversity protection programs, Eco-Bahia, through the invasive plants program, identifies and monitors non-native plant species in the Cayo, with a view to freeing spaces where species native to the region can grow. These areas have been revegetated with more than 700 endemic and native plants of the island through the species propagation program, which seeks to reproduce plants that are naturally found on the island and promote their dispersion.
